LDraw System for LEGO style 3D Modelling
LDraw is a free (for personal or education use) software package that
enables you to build 3D LEGO models, create sets of building
instructions and render models on the computer. You can also download
regular parts updates so that you will always have the latest LEGO
pieces without paying a cent or losing any expensive parts! There is a
complete range of bricks, baseplates, electric and technic components,
trains and a huge choice of accessories such as animals, people, plants,
cars, boats, castle parts, fences, roofs etc
It is a useful environment for introducing students to a 3D design
environment, assisting them to visualise and construct objects in 3D
space from Front, Side, Top and Perspective views.

The software automatically creates a parts list and has
a facility for creating step by step building instructions for models.
Images of the finished model can also be saved in gif, bmp or jpeg
formats.
There are several steps in getting the software
operational.Installation is via a slightly different process to usual,
and should not be rushed, but if you follow the instructions carefully
you should have no problems.
