Robotics

Home

Before you begin this unit of work, use CMap or other concept mapping software to create a concept map that shows how much you know about robots now.  Keep a copy of it to refer back to at the end of the unit.

As you undertake the activities, and increase your knowledge and understanding, add to your concept map. Don't forget to add in images and other documents (such as Word or PowerPoint files) that include knowledge and information about robots.

If you can't remember how to make a CMap, have a look at the tutorial.

At the end of the unit your CMap should contain the following:

  • a section on what a robot is
  • general information about robots and how they are used
  • information on the history of robots
  • your Lego Robolab programs
  • a section on ethics
  • your 3D Lego robot design from LDraw
  • your completed activity from the activities page
  • your own futuristic robot description and design
