KA Video

KA Video is a program developed by San Fransisco State University Kinesiology Department for analysing human movement.  To use it you require a video camera to collect your data, and a computer equipped with a video capture card to download it.  Once you have downloaded and processed your video, the analysis can be carried out on any PC.

The software and related information is available from http://www.kavideo.sfsu.edu/  It is freely available for education use.

These notes are simplified and are specifically designed to assist year 9 and 10 students in my classes to use and gain a basic understanding of the software.  They are not intended to be a comprehensive guide to either the software or kinematic analysis.  They assume you are using a digital video camera.
