The title 'ICT Mindtools' is designed to bring a focus on uses of ICT where students are required to use higher order thinking skills to become producers, rather than just consumers, of ICT products.

This website had its origins in my own and my school's involvement in 4 Australian Government projects that provided some funding for resource development:

• Intelligent Island Enterprising ICT Learning Strategies Project
• The Boys' Education Lighthouse Schools Project
• The Australian Schools' Innovation in Science, Mathematics and Technology
• SiMERR Project - Science, Information and Communication Technology, and Mathematics Education for Rural and Regional Australia

It has since been broadened to include other resources to support the teaching of ICT as a discipline in its own right and also to support the use of ICT across a range of subject areas.  Although it may be used for a wider age range, it has been primarily created to support the teaching and learning of ICT in grades 7 to 10 in Tasmania, Australia.  Continued development of the site occurs in erratic bursts in my 'free time' on weekends and in school holidays.
